Annual Pathmark Gospel Choir Competition Returns to World Financial Center to Commemorate Black History Month

 

 

WHEN:           

Saturday, February 28

Youth Division Choirs (18 yrs and younger) will compete from:

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Open Division Choirs will compete from:

1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

                            

           

WHERE:          

World Financial Center Winter Garden

West Street (between Vesey and Liberty Streets)

Lower Manhattan, NY

 

 

WHAT:         

The Pathmark Gospel Choir Competition will once again honor Black History Month by bringing together top choirs from all over the country to compete in New York City for $10,000 in prizes.  This year marks the first time an international group joins the renowned competition as a group from Quebec will be vying for the ultimate grand prize! 

 

Gospel music lovers of every age are invited to enjoy inspirational bands, fine soloists, and sweet harmonies as hundreds of groups join together to showcase their musical talents.  Also highlighting the event will be a special performance by musical sensation, Beyond Blessed.  Guests can come for an hour or stay for the day at this free celebration as choirs, famous in their own communities, mark their place in Manhattan.
