ATL Women Break Out Your Little Pink Book

ATLANTA -  For the second consecutive year, PINK has announced that MetLife is Presenting Sponsor of PINK’s Signature Fall Empowerment Event for women in business.

PINK’s 6th annual fall conference will be held at theInterContinental Buckhead hotel in Atlanta onMonday, November 15, 2010. Networking begins at 11AM

“MetLife is proud to sponsor the Fall Empowerment event for the second year in a row. With more than half of MetLife’s workforce consisting of women, we understand the importance of providing opportunities for personal and professional development that are geared specifically toward women,” says Michael J. Vietri, executive vice president, Individual Distribution. “The event also provides a great platform to highlight and discuss the unique financial concerns facing women today.”

Speakers at the lunch include some of America’s most influential women in business: Group President at Newell Rubbermaid Penny McIntyre, Founder & CEO of Carol’s Daughter Lisa Price, MetLife Distribution Vice President Pamela Blalock and New York Times Bestselling Author Emily Giffin. The discussion will be moderated by “Good Day Atlanta” Fox 5 anchor Suchita Vadlamani, with opening remarks from Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.

Hundreds of career-focused women will attend to network with each other and hear success secrets from these business leaders on topics ranging from finance to leadership, as well as life balance and how to make it in business when women hold only 18 percent of top positions.

PINK and those attending will also raise dollars to support Kate’s Club, a nonprofit that empowers children and teens facing life after the death of a parent or a sibling. To date, PINK has raised more than $70,000 for nonprofits supporting women and girls.
