Barbara Lee to Receive Future Progressive Champion Award

 

 

Washington, D.C. – Tonight, Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) will receive the Future Progressive Champion Award from the Campaign For America’s Future during their annual America’s Future Now Awards Dinner.

“I am extremely honored and humbled to receive the Future Progressive champion Award,” said Congresswoman Barbara Lee. “I look forward to working together with the Campaign for America’s Future to build coalitions and move our shared progressive agenda forward both inside and outside of the halls of Congress.”

Other award recipients will include John J. Sweeney, President of the AFL-CIO who will receive the America’s Future Lifetime Leadership Award, and Deepak Bhargava and the Center for Community Change who will be receiving the Paul Wellston Citizen Leadership Award.

The Campaign for America’s Future is the strategy center for the progressive movement. Their goal is to forge the enduring progressive majority needed to realize the America of shared prosperity and equal opportunity that our country was meant to be.
