Cheryl Gentry, President/Founder of Glow Media in New York City has been nominated for the prestigious ISES Esprit Awards from the International Special Events Society (ISES) in the category of Best Meeting/Conference Program.  Cheryl has been a special event professional with over 12 years of experience.  During that time, Glow Media, a certified M/WBE, has been nominated for and received The Big Apple Awards - Best Corporate Event (ISES New York Chapter), the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund’s Founders' Award for Excellence in Service, and the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (Greater New York Chapter) Special Appreciation Award.

 

The Best Meeting/Conference Program event nominated for a 2009 ISES Esprit was the Glow Media event, The World Diversity Leadership Summit (WDLS), held at the United Nations  WDLS is an important gathering of diversity executives and leaders, focused on the challenges and opportunities related to global diversity management while studying cutting-edge global diversity best practices and case studies.  It was such an important New York event, that Mayor Bloomberg proclaimed July 9th, 2008, World Diversity Leadership Day.
