CBC Holds “Discussion on Race”

Forum to examine critical role of race in our society; its scientific, historic, legal and socio-cultural role

Washington D.C. – In the twenty-five years since Rev. Jesse Jackson’s historic run for the presidency, America has witnessed monumental social, cultural and technological changes leading to the election of the first African American president. While some point to these changes as examples that laws and regulations eliminating discrimination and promoting equity are no longer needed, the persistence of racial and ethic disparities underscore their necessity to others.
