A panel of five Spanish-speaking Moffitt and community physicians will present on health topics, followed by an opportunity for audience members to ask questions. Areas of discussion include prostate health and cancer, colon cancer and prevention, emotional well-being, coping skills, general health topics and a patient testimonial. There will also be literature on a wide range of related topics for attendees to take home.
“The value of this event is the information that is going to be shared with the community and the awareness it’s going to raise,” Prado Antolino, coordinator of translation services, said. “We hope to empower the community to advocate for themselves and have information they need to take care of their own health.”
Upon arrival, participants can enjoy a light breakfast and will receive a raffle ticket to be eligible for gifts such as Florida Aquarium tickets and baseball caps. Please call 1-888-MOFFITT to make a reservation for this event.
