Latinos Kick Off "Keep Families Together" Tour

NEW YORK -New York Rep. Nydia M. Velazquez and IL Rep. Luis Gutierrez, City and State Electeds, and Immigrant Advocates Come Together to Push for Pro-Immigrant Policies at the City, State, and Federal Level This Year.

Rep. Gutierrez will be traveling to New York to join with Rep. Velazquez and this broad coalition of advocates, faith and community groups in pushing for the following actions at the federal, state, and city levels:

NATIONALLY: Stop Unjust Deportations and Pass the DREAM Act

NEW YORK STATE: Rescind the Secure Communities agreement with ICE

NEW YORK CITY: Get New York City out of the Deportation Business

Now more than ever, our communities feel the urgency for reforms that will keep families together, cease the senseless and record-breaking deportations of hard-working immigrants, and end policies that turn local law enforcement officers into immigration agents.
