National Call Announced For Industry's First Ever Hispanic PR Census

Hispanic PR Census Launched to Measure Hispanic PR Industry's Size and Strength Leading to Historic Dallas National Conference

LOS ANGELES, -- In an effort to measure the size and strength of the growing Hispanic public relations industry, the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) and the Hispanic PR Blog announced today the launch of a four-month national Hispanic PR Census initiative.

The Hispanic PR Census  seeks to count every marketing professional – Latino and non-Latino alike – who spends at least 30% of their time in U.S. Hispanic public relations and/or social marketing work in the U.S. and/or Puerto Rico.  The online form, which can be accessed directly at https://is-nri.com/take?i=157582&h=ZbUW12BcjSD0jkctkn0jfw, consists of 10 simple questions that be filled out in two minutes.

"The Hispanic PR Census count will provide our industry with much needed intelligence and a mechanism for measuring our strength and successes in this year and the years to come," said Manny Ruiz, co-publisher of The Hispanic PR Blog and a co-organizer of the historic Hispanic PR & Social Marketing ConferenceMay 10-12 in Dallas.  Ruiz co-founded Hispanic PR Wire, a PR Newswire company.  (Register for the conference here).

"The number of Hispanic public relations practitioners has grown in the past decade in all corners of the country," said HPRA president Lourdes Rodriguez. "This is the first national census to be conducted that will quantify the size of the industry, encompassing those in the corporate, agency, non-profit and governmental sectors. We strongly urge all in these areas to stand up and be counted in this census in a collaborative effort to further diversify the industry and strengthen its multicultural presence."

In order to ensure maximum participation in the national initiative, an aggressive grassroots PR and social marketing campaign will be conducted over the next four months, concluding April 30.  The full results of the Hispanic PR Census will be officially unveiled at the opening reception of the Hispanic PR & Social Marketing Conference and a national announcement will be made disclosing the results.
