Power for Living Christ-Centered Lives
PUYALLUP, Wash., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- God has power that unbelievers know nothing about. God has power that many believers rarely use for Christian living. Author Lt. Col. Cheryl D. Brady has just published her latest book about faith that releases the life-changing power of God not only in true believers lives but in the lives of those within their sphere of influence. Iraq: A Spiritual Journey - First of Many Things (paperback, 978-1-4141-1438-5) reveals the sovereign power of God at work during the war in Iraq from June 2006 to June 2007.
The author shares a personal spiritual journey during which you will meet a diverse group of Christians from around the world who share a passion to worship the true and living God. She provides practical tools to include Bible study lessons, pictures of baptisms performed in the palace pool that once belonged to Sadaam Hussein, and complete text of sermons preached at revivals and other Christian venues that will strengthen your walk of faith with God and effect release of His power in your life.
Going to Iraq was a dangerous mission that required unwavering faith and total commitment to the works the Lord chose during Brady's twelve-month tour of duty. The mortar rounds and rockets would come yet her faith required that she not focus on what terrorists and insurgents outside the heavily fortified International Zone were doing but rather on what the enemy (Satan) inside the embassy compound was doing. The spiritual war fought on the inside for the souls of the lost was a greater war.
"I never had a fear of man (my enemies) and what he could do to me while I was in Iraq. I was on a mission from God and I was focused on His objective, not on those who were trying to kill me," says Brady.
The war in Iraq served as the occasion for God to reveal what He had planned long ago. Brady's book has been written to commemorate the great and awesome works of the Lord. The message is for such a time as this. It is a message for young and old. It is a message from heaven for these confusing, chaotic, and turbulent days here on earth. Her experience of God's sovereign power and overwhelming love at work in Iraq is preserved for future generations.
Brady is a native of El Dorado, Ark. She is an author, minister, Bible teacher and highly decorated soldier who has served twenty-five years as an Army logistics officer in the United States, Germany, Korea and Southwest Asia. Brady and her husband, Donald, of 20 years reside in Puyallup, Wash. She is currently serving in Kuwait.
