SCS Technologies’ CEO Cody Johnson to Speak at 8th Annual North American Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Confere

HOUSTON , April 16 /Businesswire/ - SCS Technologies (SCS), a leading provider of CO2 measurement systems, methane vapor recovery units and petroleum LACT units, today announced that CEO Cody Johnson will speak at the University of Houston Law Center’s 8th Annual North American Environment, Energy and Natural Resources (EENR) Conference in Houston on April 18, 2024 at 3:45 p.m. CT.

At the event titled “Energy in Transition: Obstacles and Opportunities for Carbon Capture, Infrastructure Repurposing, and a Resilient Electricity Grid,” Johnson will join other senior executive leaders and corporate general counsel on a panel moderated by University of Houston Law Center Dean Leonard Baynes.

“It's a privilege to return to the University of Houston Law Center as a panelist at EENR, where I'll engage with the revered Dean Baynes and other experts to delve into the intersection of business and law shaping the energy transition,” said Johnson. “My journey began here 15 years ago, fueled by a passionate interest in environmental law and the oil and gas industry. To come back and contribute to a lively discussion on this critical topic is both thrilling and deeply meaningful to me.”

The 8th Annual North American EENR Conference brings together energy and climate law experts, energy general counsel, and corporate leaders as they examine the various challenges facing the energy industry in North America and explore strategies for addressing these issues in the context of the ever-evolving political and environmental landscape.

“We are thrilled to host everyone again at the EENR conference – for the 8th year in a row. We have an amazing lineup of speakers as well as a keynote discussion with Jon Niermann of the TCEQ. We are also awarding the inaugural $10,000 EENR Scholarship for the best environment, energy, and natural resources article written by a University of Houston Law Center student,” said Gina S. Warren, Co-Director of EENR Center and A.L. O’Quinn Chair in Environmental Studies.
