EIN and the DriveH2 Movement Shine Brightly at This Year’s ‘Sonic Desert’ Party at Coachella

LOS ANGELES , April 16 /Businesswire/ - A gathering of influencers, luminaries and thought leaders convened at the “Sonic Desert” party at Coachella this past weekend. Alongside the festivities, attendees were given a glimpse of the future of zero emission transportation thanks to the DriveH2.org campaign, a public service initiative by environmental nonprofit EIN and its message of a hydrogen powered future.

Sonic Desert, a mystical oasis presented by Coca-Cola Spiced and Topo Chico in partnership with BPM Music took place at a private ranch estate in Thermal, California, within minutes from the Coachella festival grounds.

As part of its DriveH2.org initiative, EIN had a striking pink pearl-shell colored Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle on display at the event alongside DriveH2 spokespeople to answer questions about the car.

Through its DriveH2.org campaign, EIN has made vehicle donations to impactful non-profit organizations such as the American Red Cross, the Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation, Social Justice Learning Institute, ThinkWatts LA, Via Care, Acceler8, and After-School All-Stars and were in attendance at Coachella to raise awareness of the zero emission alternatives provided by fuel cell electric vehicles.

“It was rewarding to participate at Coachella and highlight the critical role of hydrogen in combating climate change and improving air quality,” said Brian Goldstein, EIN’s Executive Director. “Events like this, where culture meets innovation, are ideal for advancing the conversation about sustainable energy solutions. With Earth Day around the corner, it’s a timely reminder that investing in hydrogen technology is essential for achieving a cleaner, healthier planet. The enthusiasm we encountered has been encouraging, signaling growing support for urgent climate action and a commitment to cleaner air.”

In addition, Lauren Altmann showcased a mixed media art installation titled, Desert Garden” using upcycled Coca-Cola and Smartwater products and featured upcycled pieces from her fashion collection, Lauren Altman Studio. The event also featured live celebrity deejay performances by BPM Music’s Austin Millz.
