Ideavillage to Fund Entrepreneurial Undergraduate Scholarships in NYU Stern’s Business, Technology and Entrepreneurship Pr

NEW YORK , April 17 /Businesswire/ - New York University Stern School of Business announced today it received a landmark gift for its BS in Business, Technology and Entrepreneurship (BTE) Program from Ideavillage, whose Founder and CEO is alumnus Anand (Andy) Khubani (BS ’89). In recognition of this gift, the School has named the program—one of the most successful in Stern’s history—the Khubani BTE Program.

This gift will annually support up to 40 scholarships across all four years of the program, benefitting hundreds of students for years to come.

“As someone who has experienced great success in his pursuit of the ‘American dream,’ Andy is an inspiration for Stern undergraduate business students. A master marketer and visionary entrepreneur, he is known for identifying consumer trends early and launching first to market innovative product solutions,” said Raghu Sundaram, Dean, NYU Stern. “We are deeply grateful for his extraordinary generosity and commitment to his alma mater. As one of the most successful entrepreneurs to graduate from the Stern School, we are honored that this program will bear his name.”

“The drive to innovate and the audacity to shape how we will live and work in the future are forces that reverberate throughout NYU. When an esteemed alumnus like Andy Khubani takes that spirit out into the world with great success and then chooses to channel it back to his alma mater, our potential as a community grows exponentially,” said NYU President Linda G. Mills. “We are extraordinarily grateful that Andy has chosen to serve as a role model for the promising young minds and budding entrepreneurs who choose NYU Stern as their launchpad.”

As an integral part of Stern’s Undergraduate College, which is consistently ranked in the top five by US News & World Report, the Khubani BTE Program is a STEM-certified four-year undergraduate degree and the first US undergraduate business program of its kind to seamlessly integrate business, technology and entrepreneurship. The 2021 launch of the Khubani BTE Program was met with enormous interest from applicants, a trend that has continued annually.

“I’ve always been extremely passionate about the integration of business, life, and continuous learning,” said Anand Khubani. “Throughout my journey, I've had the extraordinary privilege to learn from and collaborate with some of the most brilliant minds in the business world. This invaluable experience has been a fundamental pillar in achieving everything I hoped to in business and in life. Now, in partnership with NYU Stern, I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to empower the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. It is my hope that these scholarships will not only help them achieve their dreams, but also inspire the following generation to do the same.”

Anand (Andy) Khubani is the Founder and CEO of Ideavillage Products Corp. Andy is an entrepreneur and visionary industrialist recognized throughout his career as a leading driver of innovation and disruptive marketing in consumer products. As Founder and CEO of Ideavillage, Andy transformed new product launches with direct-to-consumer marketing to drive exponential sales at retail. He also perfected the art of working with A-list celebrities to build massive programs with the world’s largest retailers. The company is led by a diverse and balanced senior executive team, of which 75% are women and 35% are minorities.

Khubani BTE students engage in a highly experiential, interdisciplinary curriculum designed to build critical thinking and technical expertise. Unique coursework includes an experiential Design Sprint in the fall semester of the first year, in which students partner with early-stage New York City ventures, including those founded by Stern alumni, for a week-long immersive learning experience. From core business classes to capstone startup labs, the program builds not only technical expertise, but also an aptitude for managing ambiguity.

A hallmark of all of Stern’s undergraduate business programs is integrated coursework in the liberal arts and social impact. Like Stern’s foundational BS program, Khubani BTE students also take a portion of their courses in the liberal arts to develop strong critical thinking and global awareness, including Stern’s social impact core. They also complete Stern’s renowned business core and participate in global immersion programming.

The Khubani BTE Program builds upon Stern’s robust footprint in the technology and entrepreneurship arena following the successful launch of its one-year Andre Koo Technology and Entrepreneurship MBA, another first of its kind, which debuted in 2018.
