Motus Energy Receives Bureau Veritas Certifications ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

SAN ANTONIO , April 23 /Businesswire/ - Motus Energy LLC (“Motus”) today announced that the company has received ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications issued by Bureau Veritas, one of the world’s leading certification bodies.

“We are pleased to have received two independent certifications that verify our effective implementation of management systems that ensure safe workplace processes and standards, and continuous commitment to environmental stewardship,” said Michael Gruener, Motus Chief Executive Officer.

“Our team of dedicated employees works hard to provide access to reliable and affordable energy in a responsible manner to improve the quality of life on a global basis. These certifications are a testament to the work we are doing and our commitment to holding ourselves to a high operational standard and continuously working to improve across all our systems and processes every day,” continued Mark Helmke, Motus President and Chief Operating Officer.

Bureau Veritas’ ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification recognizes Motus’ systematic approach to environmental management through operational control and the integration of environmental considerations into everyday business strategies while ensuring transparency and accountability. ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management certification is the new international standard in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS). The award recognizes the implementation of a management system that proactively prevents injury and ill health at work. It also acknowledges a comprehensive approach to occupational health and safety through the reduction of workplace risk and the creation of safer working conditions.

The multi-site, independent certifications include the company’s two storage terminals, Motus T1 and Motus T2, which are strategically located in the Port of Brownsville, Texas, allowing for increased movement of commodities between the United States, Mexico and other international markets.
