ITT Recognized as 3-Star Employer by VETS Indexes for Commitment to Hiring and Developing Military Community Members

STAMFORD, Conn. , April 25 /Businesswire/ - April 25, 2024-- ITT Inc. (NYSE: ITT) is proud to announce it has earned the designation of 3-Star Employer in the 2024 VETS Indexes Employer Awards, which evaluate employers’ policies, practices and outcomes in hiring and developing military community members. VETS Indexes is an independent provider of Environmental, Social and Governance indexes measuring the impact of organizations that support veterans and their families.

ITT’s recognition as a 3-Star Employer was based on its performance in a VETS Indexes survey measuring five veteran-specific categories: development and retention, policies and culture, recruiting and hiring, guard and reserve support, and military spouse and family support. ITT previously held Recognized Employer status from VETS Indexes beginning in 2022.

“Our veterans were committed to serving others during their military careers and they bring a similar mindset to ITT as exemplary teachers and teammates. We are fortunate to benefit from their vast experiences and leadership,” said ITT’s Chief Human Resources Officer Maurine Lembesis. “We’ve built a foundation as an employer committed to hiring military community members while constantly striving to improve the professional development we offer our veteran ITTers.”

In 2021, ITT launched a Veteran Resource Group to better support former military members within the organization. Since then, ITT has increased the frequency and depth of its veteran initiatives, including donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, distribution of customized ITT challenge coins and roundtables to more deeply understand the specific needs of the veteran community. Recently, the U.S. Department of Defense approved ITT as a SkillBridge industry partner to provide internship opportunities to service members transitioning out of the military.

ITT’s veterans’ recruitment strategy includes partnering with support agencies familiar with the experiences of transitioning military members and recurring human resources training to provide talent recruiters with clarity on how military service skills align with ITT career paths.
