Much-Loved Magnotta Winery Set to Launch Two Premium Wines Available at the LCBO

VAUGHAN, Ontario , May 07 /Businesswire/ - After recently winning Winery of the Year at the VINITALY, 5 Star Wines 2024, Magnotta Winery, one of Canada’s leading wine producers and the third largest winery in Ontario, is delighted to announce the release of two new wines, Unbridled Double Cab and Home Stretch White Blend. Both wines are hitting the shelves at LCBOs across the province this month. As part of the popular Equus Series, the new wines offer an elevated, more premium option to the line.

The co-founders, Gabe and Rossana Magnotta, lovers of the Canadian arts and cultural scene, built a significant collection featuring some of Canada’s most well-known artists including the Group of Seven. It was a passion for the couple to bring sophistication and culture to their brand by making a connection between fine art and great wine. The idea was to share some of their collection on the labels of their exquisite wines.

Equus labels were created by Tien Chang, a Taiwanese-born, acclaimed Canadian artist who became friends with Gabe because of their mutual love of horses. Born in 1951, Taipei, Taiwan, Tien found inspiration in Chinese ink-wash painting. The intentional use of shapes, dots, shadows and brush strokes in his horse paintings, masterfully capture the animals grace, movement and honesty.

Unbridled Double Cab

Unbridled Double Cab is a 2021 majestic blend combining robust characteristics of a Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc’s more mellow demeanor. Bold yet balanced, with a medley of dark berries, hints of herbs and a velvety smooth finish this wine pairs well with steak and creamy pasta dishes.

Home Stretch White Blend

Home Stretch White Blend is a 2022 lively blend of Vidal/Riesling/Gewürztraminer that is off-dry and medium-bodied with fresh acidity and a harmonious finish. It packs a zesty, citrusy kick with nutty pine and herbal nuances supported by bright scents of spirited lemon. This wine is beautiful on its own or when matched with appetizers and mildly spiced dishes.
