Dr. Bilder brings a wealth of experience to the NLN Foundation, a leading advocate for nursing faculty and leaders in nursing education. At Joyce University, she works with deans, department chairs, faculty, and others on campus to support excellence in all of the university's academic, research, scholarly programs, and activities.

With more than 20 years in higher education, Dr. Bilder has served in various roles, including as faculty, dean, director of curriculum and program quality, and assistant vice president prior to joining Joyce University in July of 2023. Dr. Bilder is a distinguished NLN Jonas Scholar, registered nurse, and board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Bilder to the NLN Foundation Advisory Council,” said NLN Foundation Chair Patrick Robinson, PhD, RN, ACRN, CNE, ANEF, FAAN, vice president of nursing, Pacific College of Health and Science. “Her extensive nursing education and leadership background will be invaluable to our team.”

Dr. Bilder’s expertise lies in Leadership Readiness and Empowerment in Nursing Education, a topic she researched extensively during her PhD in Nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her dedication to this field aligns with the NLN Foundation’s mission of promoting excellence in nursing education and increasing access to opportunities for aspiring nurses.

“The NLN Foundation does incredible work,” said Dr. Bilder. “I am honored to join forces with the Advisory Council to positively impact the lives of nursing students across the US.”

The NLN Foundation supports the National League for Nursing’s mission to advance nursing education through competitive research grants, scholarships, and other initiatives. These programs aim to cultivate a diverse and highly skilled nursing workforce to meet the nation's growing healthcare needs.
