BLACKPLANET RISING HOSTS A COMMUNITY DAY AT WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30th So many African Americans in impoverished neighborhoods do not have access to private athletic facilities and by cleaning up the public courts and making them functional this project will not only make the neighborhood nicer, it will give kids who might not otherwise have a chance to play tennis the opportunity to get outside, be active and take up a wonderful sport. BlackPlanet Rising is the first comprehensive platform to provide tools, information and connections for African Americans to give back their time and resources to the community. The site provides users with a vast number of volunteer opportunities that reflect their geographic location, skills, and areas of interest.
