Community Conversations to be Held to Discuss Educational Excellence for Hispanics
Juan Sepulveda, director of White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans, will travel over the following week to communities in the Northeast region of the U.S., where he will learn about the various Hispanic communities in that area.
The trip will include visits with community leaders, elected officials and educators. He will host a town hall-style Community Conversation to gain public input on the status of Hispanic education. The following is the schedule of the upcoming Community Conversations:

The White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans was created by Executive Order on Sept. 24, 1990, to improve federal efforts to promote quality education for Hispanic Americans. Sepulveda is visiting Hispanic communities to gain input prior to updating the executive order later this year.
