Congressional Black Caucus To Examine Haitian Recovery Tomorrow
WashingtonD.C. – The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) will hold a forum examining recovery and reconstruction efforts after the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
The event, “The Road to Recovery,” will take place Wednesday, March 24th at 3:00pm in the Congressional Auditorium of the CapitolVisitorsCenter.
The event discusses and reiterates the following:
Why Haiti matters to the United States
Role of the U.S. and international community, both governmental and nongovernmental organizations, in Haiti’s history
Relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts
Past rebuilding efforts – positives, negatives, and lessons moving forward
