Hank Aaron To Host Athlete Summit Charity Weekend

 ATLANTA -- The AAG Foundation continues to successfully unify professional athletes for the betterment of our communities.  In celebration of the year's accomplishments, the Foundation Charity weekend events include:

  • Charity Golf Event: Friday, July 9 from 11:30am-7:30pm, Bear's Best Golf Course
  • The Professional Athlete Summit hosted by Andrew Young and Hank AaronSaturday, July 10 from 10:00am-1:00pm, 191 Club, will cover such topics such as Education, Finance, Community Service, 'Life after Sports' and Health & Wellness
  • Black Tie Gala: Saturday, July 10 from 7:30pm-9:30pm, 191 Club, will have both silent and live auctions, as well as the annual  awards recognitions
  • Community Health Clinic:  Sunday, July 11 from 1-4pm, Andrew & Walter Young YMCA, Free Health Screenings and Kids Festival

This star-studded event will include (but will not be limited to) NFL legend Jim Brown; MLB great Hank Aaron (AAGF Board Member); Chairman of the AAGF Board, Dr. Walter Young; Mayor Kasim ReedJolinda Wade, philanthropist and Parent of the Year award recipient; and music producer and multimedia executive Lou "Buster" Brown, recipient of this years' Artist of the Year as well as a host of NBA, NFL and MLB veterans, coaches, and music and film producers.
