                     NEW YORK - The bright sounds and colors of the 50th annual Hispanic Day Parade were on display today along New York's Fifth Avenue.

                     The event celebrates the more than 2.5 million Hispanics living in New York City.

                     The parade featured participants from about 20 Latin American countries.

                      About a million people viewed the festivities which coordinate with the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
