Lives That Changed the World: Nelson Mandela

From Political Prisoner … to President

 On DVD Feb. 16th

LOS ANGELES  Learn about the remarkable man who had every right to hate but taught the world to forgive in Lives That Changed the World: Nelson Mandela, on DVD Feb. 16 from Infinity Entertainment Group.

Imprisoned 27 years for standing up for what he believed, Nelson Mandela persevered and was miraculously able to galvanize the world around his struggle to end apartheid … even from behind bars at South Africa’s brutal and remote RobbenIsland prison.

Released in 1990, Mandela entered a world profoundly shaped by his dream, his homeland now one of multi-racial democracy. Against a backdrop of historical footage, this Nobel Peace Prize winner’s own story is told through the eyes of 10 people who were there, who were inspired by his vision, who are a legacy of his epic quest.

Includes interviews with former Prime Minister F.W. de Klerk; Mandela's daughter Zindzi, who continues her father’s legacy through her work with children; Christo Brand, former racist and prison guard who watched over Mandela; Zackie Achmat, HIV/AIDS victim and activist; Adriaan Vlok, former minister of law and order during apartheid rule; and more.

Lives That Changed the World: Nelson Mandela is presented in letterbox with an aspect ratio of 4 x 3 and 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound or 2.0 stereo.  Special features include subtitling for the deaf and hearing impaired.
