Colorado Non-Profit Adoption Ministry Announces First Annual Child Sponsorship Day

Hope's Promise, headquartered in Denver/Castle Rock, seeks at least 30 new monthly child sponsors on February 24th in celebration of 30th anniversary

PR Newswire

CASTLE ROCK, Colo., Feb. 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hope's Promise Adoption & Orphan Care, a non-profit organization that exists to transform lives through the Christian ministry of adoption and orphan care, announced today that their first Child Sponsorship Day will take place on Monday, February 24. The goal of the Castle Rock ministry is to sign up a minimum of 30 new monthly child sponsors, in celebration of their 30th anniversary.

Hope's Promise exists to eradicate the orphan care crisis one child at a time. The ministry's unique model of orphan care, based on social work best practice, provides orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya, Nepal, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe an opportunity to grow up in a Christian family right in their own country. Family preservation and keeping children within the biological family is a goal when best for the child. Orphans in Mathare Valley, the second largest slum in Kenya, live in six square miles of abject poverty. Ethnic minority orphaned children living in rural areas of Vietnam are likely to drop out of school and start working at very young ages. Orphans in Nepal are especially vulnerable to human trafficking and child marriage. Corrupt leadership in Zimbabwe oppresses the entire nation, with orphaned and vulnerable children bearing the harshest impact. Every donation made on Hope's Promise Child Sponsorship Day will directly impact orphans living in Kenya, Vietnam, Nepal or Zimbabwe.

Donors who commit to sponsoring a child on Hope's Promise first annual Child Sponsorship Day will provide a sense of belonging and hope for their future. Child sponsorship with Hope's Promise starts at $40 a month. For details and to sign up as a monthly sponsor, visit HopesPromise.com.

"There are many noble non-profits based in the United States, and we are honored to be in their company," said Beth Woods, Executive Director at Hope's Promise. "This year, as we discussed ways to celebrate our 30th anniversary at Hope's Promise and educate the public about the need for helping orphans around the world, we knew that inviting the public to sponsor a child was a wonderful way to support those without the blessing of a parent or family member to care for them."
