“As trends and innovations in fitness and health accelerate, we are all focused on our well-being,” says Editor in Chief Deborah Frank. “So with this first issue of 2020, we embrace the new decade ahead with a complete redesign that reflects a commitment to simple lines, more white space, and beautiful imagery, just as we move to eating cleaner, breathing better, and living our best life.”

Highlights from the Spring issue include:

Cover Artist: Kirby Fredendall

Kirby Fredendall’s illustration of spring, titled Finding a Path 11, perfectly launches LUXURY MAGAZINE’s new look given its colorful combination of light, shapes, and patterns that convey a positive, forward-looking energy. Fredendall grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, absorbing its vibrant arts culture, and then went on to major in art history at Duke University with studies abroad in London and Florence. Raised among artists, becoming a painter was a natural progression for Fredendall, whose scenic works capture a location’s serene emotion. “My paintings are not about how the landscape looks,” says Fredendall, “as much as about how the landscape makes me feel.” While the paintings may be classified as landscapes, Fredendall would characterize her work “as representations of the constantly changing energy of our relationship with not only ourselves but also those around us and our environment.”

Cutting-Edge Fitness Tools and Gear

Specially designed apps and innovative exercise tools are changing the fitness game. The latest programs help users move smarter, target hard-to-reach muscles, and track objectives without the need for a personal trainer or trip to the gym. The bar is being raised on the modern workout.

Amped-Up Hybrid Supercars

Electrified cars boast increased all-electric range, quicker acceleration, and inspired higher performance. But there’s still a wait list. Three compelling hybrids available now from Lexus, Audi, and Polestar are driving faster than ever toward the future.
