LifeStation and AMAC Partner to Offer A Full Suite of Medical Alert Services to Members

Medical alert and remote care services keep at-risk seniors safe and provide the help they need during critical emergencies.

PR Newswire

UNION, N.J., June 2, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- LifeStation (http://www.lifestation.com) announced today it has partnered with The Association of Mature American Citizens, or AMAC, (http://www.amac.us) to provide members with emergency medical alert and remote care services. LifeStation offers a suite of products designed to increase safety and independence for seniors and their caregivers. Because the current COVID-19 pandemic increases the dangers of social isolation, particularly for seniors in need, LifeStation's products are uniquely positioned to support AMAC's members more than ever.

By leveraging LifeStation's technology, the partnership will reduce the impact of senior isolation and the challenge of physical caregiver assistance for members. Key services include:

  • Medical Alert – A small button worn around the neck or wrist that is pressed during an injury or other emergency, triggering immediate assistance 24/7/365 from LifeStation's trained care specialists, who then send help as needed from first responders, family, or caregivers.
  • Senior Isolation – Proactive communication program helps to mitigate the challenges of isolation & loneliness by keeping seniors connected. Regular calls to your members provide a friendly voice, conduct a critical needs assessment, deliver resources to stay safe and healthy, and improve physical and emotional well-being.

Additionally, LifeStation's CareAssist Concierge Service enables contact with an expanded call list that includes meal delivery, pharmacy, and transportation resources.

"We understand how important the support seniors receive from The Association of Mature American Citizens is to their daily lives, well-being, and independence," said Laura Aiello, Director, LifeStation. "During this time of uncertainty, we were pleased to offer a variety of tools from our caregiver support system to help ensure members are well cared for. AMAC is an institution with the ability and resources to improve the lives of seniors nationwide; we are very excited to work with them to increase the scope of critical support available to their members during the pandemic and beyond."

The Association of Mature American Citizens is one of the fastest-growing 50+ organizations in America, with over two million members that carry the AMAC membership card. Over the past several years, AMAC has organized and attended nearly one thousand sit-down meetings with congressional leaders, Senators, House members, elected officials and others who directly impact the future of our country. From advocacy to life-changing technology partnerships, AMAC is on the front lines of the challenges faced by seniors today.

"We are thrilled to partner with LifeStation", said Rebecca Weber, CEO, AMAC. "With LifeStation's products and services, our member's lives are impacted immediately, enabling them to do more, connect more, remain in their own homes longer, and accurately share their health and wellness needs with their designated caregivers. This partnership means our members are able to put their physical, emotional, and medical needs first."

Ms. Aiello continued, "As we navigate the COVID-19 outbreak and what is to come after it, both our clients and our partners can feel confident that they can focus on their quality of life, as well as the well-being of those around them 24 hours a day."
