All Truckers Together Against Child Abuse seeks donations and membership engagement to raise awareness of ongoing child abuse

PR Newswire

OKLAHOMA CITY, July 8, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Rodney Timms, founder of Oklahoma-based child abuse awareness group All Truckers Together Against Child Abuse (A.T.T.A.C.A.), is urging the public to realize the importance of child abuse in addition to other current social injustices.

In light of recent events, Timms is shining a light on those children who are being mistreated. In the midst of this pandemic, more children are home, which means the risk could be higher.

Timms, who himself was a victim of child abuse, has made it his mission to protect children and educate the public about the risk of abuse that children are subjected to.

"Social injustice of any kind is wrong," Timms said. "Make no mistake, what's happening to our children is an atrocity. It feels like nobody's talking about the 1,825 kids that die every year from abuse. A.T.T.A.C.A. is placing billboards across America to remind the public that this is still an urgent issue. We can't afford to not protect America's children."

Timms' own personal experiences have fortified his resolute stance.

"My father beat me my whole life," Timms said. "One night, he tried to beat me to death. My eyes were swollen shut, and I was throwing up blood for two days. I couldn't even walk, and I struggled to talk. I had been severely beaten and had no will to live. I had no one to protect me, and even today, kids of all races suffer as I did. I want this to stop."

A.T.T.A.C.A. and Timms are hoping to enlist the help of the public to further their cause.

"We need the support of communities all over our great country," Timms said. "You can help keep all of our children safe by joining A.T.T.A.C.A., today."

You can donate or become a member of A.T.T.A.C.A. today by visiting ATTACA.org.
