RONKONKOMA, N.Y., Aug. 13, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After a 33 year career with BJG Electronics on Long Island, Rick Flora announced his retirement effective 31 Dec. BJG's president Kent Smith was named as President & CEO. Smith has served as BJG's president since February of this year. Flora will continue to serve as a member of BJG's board of directors going forward.
BJG's chairman Glenn Davidson thanked Rick for his strong leadership and said that "Rick Flora, along with his brothers Joe and Jim, have built BJG in to an industry leader widely recognized by the world's largest military and aviation OEM's as a reliable source for their most critical parts." Flora acknowledged that he leaves BJG in an "Incredibly strong position with the tools, products and a team that will allow the company to grow well in to the foreseeable future." Building on that theme, Smith comments "BJG is now a 'one-stop' solution for OEMs, harness houses and builders in the military, aerospace and related harsh environment markets. We will continue to invest in expanding BJG's capabilities and the value that we provide to our customers."
