Greenberg Traurig's Mary-Olga Lovett Selected as 2020 Best Mentor by Texas Lawyer

Texas Lawyer has selected Mary-Olga Lovett, Senior Vice President of global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, among its 2020 "Best Mentors."

PR Newswire

HOUSTON, Sept. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Texas Lawyer has selected Mary-Olga Lovett, Senior Vice President of global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, among its 2020 "Best Mentors."

Lovett has been actively involved in mentoring young associates and students both inside and outside of Greenberg Traurig. Lovett co-leads the firm's developmental efforts for Greenberg Traurig's 824 associates and carries operational responsibility for all the firm's Texas offices. She also founded the firm's annual Women's Business Forum in 2007 to promote women in the law and has spent years advocating for the need to see more women and lawyers of color in the ranks of First-Chair trial lawyers.

"As someone who has been blessed with great mentors throughout my career, I am deeply honored by this recognition. Our next generation of lawyers is full of brilliance, resilience, and rock stars. In many ways, they mentor me just as much as I them," Lovett said.

According to the publication, the Texas Legal Awards – Professional Excellence honor attorneys and judges who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession in Texas - whether in shaping the law, achieving outsized results for their clients, being an outstanding jurist or assisting those in need of legal services. The "Best Mentors" category is specifically designed to recognize lawyers who have helped less-experienced colleagues become better lawyers.

Honorees were recognized at a virtual awards reception on Sept. 17. To watch the announcement, visit https://www.event.law.com/texaslawyer-legalawards/
