Cool Creek Family Health Launches a New Type of Medical Care in Carmel

CARMEL, Ind. , October 22 /Businesswire/ - Cool Creek Family Health opened its doors in early May and has been a breath of fresh air to residents of Carmel by offering an innovative new style of medical care. The new primary care clinic focuses on eliminating wait times while offering affordable and more personalized healthcare to families and small to medium-sized businesses.

Led by Family Nurse Practitioner and owner, Farah Myers, FNP, the practice offers an affordable monthly membership to patients, regardless of health insurance status.

After several years working in traditional insurance-dependent medical practices, Farah decided to open Cool Creek Family Health to bring healthcare back to what it once was – a service dedicated to patient care. Working within a regional big box medical chain, Farah saw first-hand how revenue incentives forced providers into spending as little time as possible with patients and resulted in fragmented follow up care, wasting both patient’s time and money.

Myers shared, “By opening a practice that doesn’t depend on the type of insurance you have, I’m able to care for families, businesses and individuals in a timely and personable manner.  My patients love not having to incur a deductible or copay each time they need care and we are saving them a lot on their healthcare costs. It also allows me to spend more time with my patients while also providing open availability for appointments so you can see me when and where you need me.”

With a unique business model that focuses on promoting quality healthcare and improved access to a healthcare provider, Cool Creek Family Health isn’t your traditional medical practice.  For a cost lower than your monthly cell phone bill, you receive unlimited visits with direct access to your medical provider via text, video chat, and in-office visits – all with complete cost transparency. This means no more surprise bills that show up four months after your visit. The model allows patients to reserve their health insurance for catastrophic events, saving patients and employers money by removing the tendency to be over-insured.

By pairing with a direct primary care clinic, Cool Creek Family Health also helps businesses take control of their healthcare costs. Businesses save on annual premium increases and overall healthcare expenses by up to 18% (Society of Actuaries, 2020). Spending on average 45-60 minutes with your Nurse Practitioner, an additional benefit to the membership at Cool Creek Family Health is that standard outpatient procedures and labs are offered at or below regular retail and insurance prices with a variety of in-house testing and procedures at no extra cost. Cool Creek Family Health offers high-quality care promoting more face time with less wait time.
