GovX Raises Over a Half a Million Dollars to Nonprofits Serving Heroes
Patch of the Month sales combined with other charitable efforts made 2020 a record year of giving.

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The charitable efforts of GovX—the online shopping site exclusively for current and former military, first responders, and federal employees—closed out 2020 by reaching over half a million dollars in total GovX Gives Back donations. Since the inception of GovX's inaugural charitable giveback efforts in October of 2015, GovX has now raised a lifetime total of $565,000 for nonprofits supporting Americans with service-related backgrounds and their families.
The bulk of GovX Gives Back fundraising was generated by sales of the Patch of the Month, originally designed collectible patches based on the unique cultures among military, law enforcement, and first responder communities. Examples include the American of Service patch, which benefited Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, and the special 9/11 anniversary United We Stand patch, which supported FirefighterAid, the long-time GovX partner and nonprofit dedicated to fire professionals nationwide.

GovX was also proud to provide additional support to local foundations in the company's hometown of San Diego. GovX donated to Veterans Village of San Diego to aid in their mission to overcome veteran homelessness, The Rosie Network which empowers veteran small business ventures, and the San Diego Police Department Academy's mission to train tomorrow's law enforcement pros.
