San Francisco Equity Partners Acquires SV Labs, a Leading Manufacturer of Natural Beauty and Personal Care Products

SAN FRANCISCO , January 25 /Businesswire/ - San Francisco Equity Partners (“SFEP”), a private equity firm focused exclusively on partnering with growth-oriented companies in the consumer sector, announced today that it has acquired Smith & Vandiver Corporation (“SV Labs” or the “Company”), a leading manufacturer of natural beauty and personal care (“BPC”) products. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in Santa Cruz, California in the 1970s, SV Labs was an early pioneer in the natural products industry. Today, the Company is an innovative BPC contract manufacturer and the market leader in the production of effervescent products for multiple end markets, including shower tablets and bath bombs. The Company also manufactures products in categories such as bath salts, skin care, body care and CBD topicals. SV Labs provides a host of turnkey services to its customers including R&D, formulation, manufacturing, filling, labeling, packaging and fulfillment. The Company’s diverse customer base includes multi-national CPG companies, emerging natural brands, direct-to-consumer brands and leading national retailers.
