WOC-Led Venture Capital Firm Fearless Fund Backs Data Analytics Platform Streamlytics

ATLANTA , February 23 /Businesswire/ - Fearless Fund, the first VC fund built by women of color, for women of color, has recently invested in Streamlytics, an ethical data collection company that is working to form proactive relationships with consumers.

The data platform, which quietly joined Fearless Fund’s portfolio last fall, was founded by technology and diversity pioneer Angela Benton in 2018, to unify and protect the troves of data produced by consumers across their digital footprint.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Streamlytics into the Fearless Fund portfolio,” says Arian Simone, General Partner and Co-Founder of Fearless Fund. “Angela has long been a champion for diversity in the widely underrepresented technology industry and we are proud to invest in her company. Streamlytics is transforming what data ownership means for communities of color.”

This investment marks a milestone in Fearless Fund’s efforts to not only support WOC-founded businesses but also close the gap between the minority women who account for 89% of new businesses opened every day and the less than 1 percent of WOC-businesses who receive funding.

“We’re proud to announce our partnership with Fearless Fund, whose priorities and goals of unification and representation mirror those of Streamlytics,” said Angela Benton, founder and CEO of Streamlytics. ”We are grateful to be a part of the team and look forward to our continued collaboration to enhance the experience of people of color in tech and encourage diversity throughout the overall industry.”

Launched in 2019, Fearless Fund invests in WOC-led businesses seeking pre-seed, seed level or series A financing. Its mission is to bridge the gap in venture capital funding for female founders of color building scalable, growth aggressive companies. The Fearless Fund team also runs The Fearless Foundation, a 501c3 organization with a goal to educate entrepreneurs through training, reduce racial inequities, and empower African-Americans to gain access to capital, as well as the Get Ready Venture Program, a 12-month training program for WOC business owners to acquire the needed training, mentorship, knowledge, and skills needed to gain access to capital.
