Corlears School Announces Free Event to Showcase Kindergarten Experience

Leading NYC Early Education School to Hold Webinar to Highlight Its Program for Introduction into Elementary School

PR Newswire

NEW YORK, June 11, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Early education leader Corlears School announced today it is holding next week a free, online event to demonstrate the effectiveness of its kindergarten program to parents and caregivers.

The Kindergarten at Corlears will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 12:30-1:15pm ET. It is designed for current and prospective parents of children in early leaning programs.

The Zoom event will be led by Nicole Ziccardi, Dean of Faculty and Director of Curriculum, Corlears School, and Mansi Vasa, Corlears' Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Community Life. Corlears' kindergarten teachers will also participate.

They will explore these questions with families:

  • An understanding of what the Corlears' Kindergarten might look, sound, and feel like for their child.
  • Helpful insights as they consider what "kindergarten readiness" means for their child.

"Kindergarten is truly a special moment in a child's educational experience," said Ziccardi. "Children need to be supported as they transition from early learning classrooms to the elementary division. Join us to gain an understanding of how Corlears' Kindergarten differs from other early elementary experiences."

Head of School David Egolf said: "Kindergarten is a critical year at Corlears School. We have spent more than 50 years fine tuning what children need at this age, and our expert teachers consistently engage and prepare the students for the elementary years that follow."

Zoom information is provided in the event registration confirmation. Please register here: https://www.corlearsschool.org/campus-visits

About Corlears School

Founded in 1968, Corlears School is one of the few schools in New York City that focuses exclusively on the early years of education (age 2-5th grade) — and we always have. In our five decades of experience, we have come to understand that these early years are the most crucial formative years for every child. They set a foundation of learning and confidence for everything to come. We specialize in guiding this impressionable age group, because the start of your child's academic life should be nothing short of exceptional.

Corlears is a private, neighborhood school for the entire city that offers a solid academic foundation and a vibrant, inclusive community for curious young minds ages 2-10.
