Dialpad Supports National Juneteenth Observance Foundation Amid Historical Legislation

SAN FRANCISCO , July 29 /Businesswire/ - Dialpad Inc., the industry leader in AI-powered communication and collaboration, was selected by the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation to support its mission to make Juneteenth a nationally recognized holiday. With Dialpad powering the organization’s voice and video communications, the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation successfully helped pass the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act.

“Dialpad is how we organized—and stayed organized—all the way through to getting the Juneteenth legislation passed. When we were talking to people on Capitol Hill and other dignitaries on Dialpad, they could easily dial in—which they loved,” said Steve Williams, President of the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation. “Dialpad is the glue that kept the Juneteenth nation together for a long time, it was our home.”

Beyond choosing Dialpad for its simplicity and ease of use, the organization also found Dialpad’s proprietary Voice Intelligence engine a key differentiator. In addition to leveraging calling and conferencing capabilities to help pass the Juneteenth legislation, the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation uses Dialpad to record and transcribe oral accounts from historical figures to ensure their important stories can be passed down to future generations.

“Everything is recorded and transcribed in Dialpad, so we’ve been using it to transcribe interviews with historical people—people who had oral histories from their grandparents about when Juneteenth took place in Texas, people who used to cut Frank Sinatra’s hair, people from west Las Vegas who told us about the integration of the Las Vegas Strip—and the recordings are all there in Dialpad,” added Williams.

“Dialpad is proud to support this extraordinary organization and its cause,” said Craig Walker, CEO and founder, Dialpad. “The foundation has been working to promote the national recognition of Juneteenth Independence Day for nearly 25 years and we are humbled and honored to have played a small role in making their mission a reality.”
