Byte Donates 2,000 Oral Health Kits to Arizona’s Welcome to America Project

LOS ANGELES , January 18 /Businesswire/ - Byte, a rapidly growing clear aligner company, announced they donated 2,000 oral health kits to Arizona’s Welcome to America Project (WTAP), an organization dedicated to helping Afghan refugees resettle and build new lives in the state. Today’s announcement comes on the heels of Byte’s pledge to donate at least 25,000 oral health kits to Afghan refugees being resettled nationally.

Mike Sullivan, Agency Director for WTAP, said, “As Arizonans, we welcome Afghan refugees to our communities. These brave men, women and children are arriving with very little. I am heartened by the outpouring of kindness and generosity from Byte, and many other Arizona companies, whose help is greatly needed and appreciated.”

“When we learned that Afghan refugees were resettling in Arizona, we asked how we could help,” said Byte CEO Neeraj Gunsagar. “Afghan families have been forced to leave their homes and lives behind. Byte is pleased to have the opportunity to play a small part in welcoming these courageous families to Arizona and ensuring they have some oral health essentials during this period of upheaval.”

Byte donated the oral health kits through its philanthropic arm, ByteCares. The oral health kits consist of a toothbrush, toothbrush cover, toothpaste, floss, and a travel pouch.

In early 2020, ByteCares responded to the personal protective equipment shortage by quickly diverting its manufacturing resources to make reusable face shields and ventilator parts and donating face masks that were shipped to first responders and medical facilities across the country.
