CIENCE Receives Best Workplaces for Women™ Award 2022 by Great Place to Work® and Fortune

PR Newswire

Fortune and Great Place to Work® honors CIENCE at #6 on the 2022 Best Workplaces for Women™ list.

DENVER, September 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine have honored CIENCE as one of the 2022 Best Workplaces for Women. Making its debut on the list this year, CIENCE achieved a top ranking at #6 among one hundred other distinguished award recipients.

"We are dedicated to being a workplace where all of our employees—including our future women leaders—can reach their full potential. Our meritocratic work environment rewards those who drive outcomes for our customers and our employees; all team members are empowered to continuously improve their personal and professional growth, which is one of our core values at CIENCE," said August Keating, Interim CEO at CIENCE.

To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place to Work analyzed the survey responses of over 640,000 women who work for Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies that employ at least fifty women. To qualify, companies must also have at least twenty percent of non-executive managers who are women and at least one female executive.

"Congratulations to the Best Workplaces for Women and their commitment to ensuring equity for women at every level of the organization," said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. "These companies showed up for women in new ways to help them cope with challenges they face wherever they are—both inside and outside of work. Women in these companies are seen, heard, and valued."

"I've seen a commitment to the core value of respect in the CIENCE culture," said Keating. "The bias-free care with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and team camaraderie are all hallmarks of why it's great to be a CIENtist."

CIENCE's achievement on the Best Workplaces for Women list is the latest industry recognition for its exceptional workplace culture. CIENCE recently received Fortune's Great Workplaces in Technology and Great Workplaces for Millennials awards in 2022.

Comparably, a leading culture and compensation monitoring website, also named CIENCE one of the Best Companies for Women and Best CEOs for Women in 2021.

"Recognizing these achievements for women in the workplace helps us continue to attract and retain the extraordinary people who make CIENCE a great place to work," said Cindy Sanborn, U.S. Human Resources Director.

About Fortune Best Workplaces for Women

The Fortune Best Workplaces for Women is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly women say they are treated at the workplace. Great Place to Work measures the differences in women's survey responses with those of their peers and evaluates the impact of demographics and roles on the quality and consistency of women's experiences.

Using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback, statements are weighted according to their relevance in describing the most important aspects of an equitable workplace for women.

Methodology

The rankings for this award are derived from sixty employee experience questions within the Great Place to Work Trust Index™ survey. Great Place to Work determines its lists using its proprietary For All™ methodology to evaluate and certify thousands of organizations in America's largest ongoing annual workforce study, based on over 1.1 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than seven million employees.

To qualify for the list, companies must be a Great Place Work-Certified™ organization. Companies with ten to 999 people are considered for the small and medium category while companies with 1,000 employees or more are considered for the large category.
