PR Newswire

The Credit Union will match donations up to $5,000 total to support Honor Flight South Florida

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla., Oct. 6, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- As Veterans Day approaches, Power Financial Credit Union (PFCU) is proud to launch a donation matching challenge to support Honor Flight South Florida.

To honor the service and sacrifice of our local veterans, Power Financial Credit Union will give $1, up to $5,000, for every $1 donated by its members or anyone else to Honor Flight South Florida. Donations can be made at any Power Financial Credit Union branch between October 13 — November 10.

"Power Financial Credit Union has a deep appreciation for our military community so it is an absolute privilege for us to partner with Honor Flight South Florida to support our local veterans," commented Allan Prindle, President and CEO. "It is part of our DNA as a credit union to give back to our community, but it's even more special when we can honor the service and sacrifice of the cherished men and women of our armed forces."

"We are excited by the opportunity offered by Power Financial Credit Union to raise significant funds to support our mission and service to our revered veterans. On behalf of the heroes we serve, we thank them for this most generous offer," said Mike Miskew, Honor Flight South Florida Chairman.

Honor Flight South Florida is a 100% all-volunteer organization, dedicated to honoring all veterans in Broward, Dade, and Monroe counties. Honor Flight South Florida flies veterans who served during the WWII, Korea and Vietnam conflict periods to Washington D.C. for an all-expenses paid trip to visit and reflect at the memorials built in their honor. It is Honor Flight South Florida's goal to help every veteran, willing and able of getting on a plane and a bus, to visit their memorial.
