Coastal Medical Transportation Systems Completes Acquisition of Transformative Healthcare’s Massachusetts Medical Transpor

HYANNIS, Mass. , December 07 /Businesswire/ - Coastal Medical Transportation Systems (CMTS), a privately owned and operated medical transportation company dedicated to providing the highest quality of care with compassion, dignity and respect for customers and their patients, today announced the completion of its acquisition of Transformative Healthcare’s Massachusetts medical transportation arm, comprised of Fallon Ambulance Service and LifeLine Ambulance Service. As a result of the deal, CMTS’s service area has expanded and is now collectively covering the Cape and the Islands, South Shore, Boston Metro, and Central Massachusetts regions.

Since the onset of the acquisition, which was originally announced on September 30th, all of Transformative Healthcare's field personnel and direct support — including supervisors, paramedics, and EMTs — have joined the CMTS team. Moving forward, CMTS remains committed to ensuring that all of their current customers will continue to enjoy full continuity of service. In addition, they will benefit from elevated transportation resource availability and increased patient capacity, as well as the expanded geography of service coverage.

“Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is thrilled to announce the closing of our acquisition of the Transformative Healthcare Massachusetts arm of their medical transportation business,” said Alex Theoharidis, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Coastal Medical Transportation Systems. “With the addition of the Fallon Ambulance Service and LifeLine Ambulance Service entities, we are scaling not only our services portfolio but our ability to close gaps in care delivery across the region, which now includes a 50% increase in backup resource availability starting day one.”
