Marley Bowen and Chris Studer, Executive Directors of The Get REAL Movement say, “We are deeply grateful to the Purdys Chocolatier team for their commitment to raise funds through this amazing ice cream Pride campaign this year!” They continue, “Year after year, the Purdys Chocolatier team has provided crucial support, enabling our organization to expand our speaker training program, our summits, and develop educational video campaigns such as ‘Small Acts Every Day’ and ‘Get REAL's Picks’. We could not ask for a more supportive and committed partner, and we can't wait to share the impact that this ice cream campaign will make possible!”

The Ultimate PRIDE Bar retails for $6.75, with $1 from each bar being donated to The Get REAL Movement. Included in the sale of every Ultimate PRIDE Bar is a chocolate of your choice from the case so customers can enjoy one of their favourite chocolates with their ice cream. Purdys Chocolatier is aiming to reach a donation goal of $40,000 during the month of June across Canada.

“Supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community is a key pillar in our philanthropic initiative and we’re passionate about creating opportunities for these communities to be seen, heard and supported,” says Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Kriston Dean. “We’re proud to share that Purdys Chocolatier has donated a total of $109,705 to the Get REAL Movement to date to help their mission of combating 2SLGBTQ+ discrimination, racism and bullying in schools, summer camps, and workplaces.”

The Ultimate PRIDE Bar is available in Purdys shops across Canada starting June 1st, and will be available for purchase until the end of the month.

About The Get REAL Movement

The Get REAL Movement is a Canadian non-profit organization focused on combatting 2SLGBTQ+ discrimination, racism, and bullying in schools, summer camps, and workplaces. They accomplish this by offering a variety of different educational Workshop modules, and by providing leadership development and marginalized youth support through their University Chapters, their High School After-School Program, and 2SLGBTQ+ Virtual Counselling Program. Their programming aims to break down prejudice, promote unity, and foster compassion in our world.
