Founders First Capital Partners Sponsors Women in Cloud to Foster Financial Opportunities for Women Tech Founders

PR Newswire

Founders First Capital Partners and Women in Cloud (WIC) have partnered to support financial opportunities for women tech entrepreneurs. The collaboration seeks to identify women business owners who can benefit from growth capital.

SEATTLE, June 5, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Women in Cloud (WIC), an economic development organization dedicated to advancing ESG and gender inclusion in technology has welcomed Founders First Capital Partners, the nation's leading revenue-based finance and advisory investment platform for underserved and diverse-led small businesses, as a sponsor to foster financial opportunities for women tech entrepreneurs.

The collaboration aims to provide the WIC community with access to non-dilutive financing options. Women business owners have statistically seen fewer opportunities to access venture capital or traditional bank lending to grow their businesses than their male counterparts. To combat this discrepancy, WIC and Founders First are working together to identify women business owners who could benefit from growth capital.

"We are excited to be working with Women in Cloud to identify female founders that could grow their business through non-dilutive financing from Founders First," said Kim Folsom, CEO and founder of Founders First Capital Partners. "The lack of capital for female founders is a significant barrier to success. This collaboration helps us toward our goal of building an inclusive economy to unlock significant social and financial returns for women-led businesses."

The missions of Women in Cloud and Founders First Capital Partners are aligned, which makes this an ideal partnership. Over the next year, the organizations plan to work collaboratively to serve women founders through a number of initiatives. The partnership kicks off with a co-hosted webinar on June 21, "How to Make a Strong Case for SaaS Funding."

"Women in Cloud is acutely aware that women founders require a combination of financing, go-to-market resources, B2B partnership and business education to achieve true success," said Chaitra Vedullapalli, President of Women in Cloud. "We are proud to be working with Founders First Capital Partners to amplify their wealth of resources within the WIC community, driving us toward our shared goal of inclusive economic access."
