Renee Parsons Hosts 3rd Annual PXG Women's Day to Play: A Company Wide Golf Experience In Celebration of PXG's Female Employees

PXG® recognizes Women's Golf Month with marquee events in Scottsdale, AZ, London, UK, & Tokyo, JP, and with other featured programming throughout the month of June

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 7, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PXG celebrated PXG Women's Day to Play on June 5th, in honor of Women's Golf Month. The global team initiative, created and led by President and Executive Creative Director of PXG Apparel Renee Parsons, offers all female PXG employees a paid day off to experience and enjoy the game of golf. The marquee opportunity saw record participation across multiple continents including North America, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

"As women in the golf industry, we hold the power to reshape the game by championing one another with unwavering support and creating an environment of female empowerment," said President and Executive Creative Director of PXG Apparel Renee Parsons. "I believe that unity and collaboration deliver the greatest return. The more we champion each other, the more successful and satisfied we will be in business and in our everyday lives."

In Scottsdale, Arizona, home of PXG, Renee Parsons hosted more than 75 PXG employees at the Parsons' private golf oasis, Scottsdale National Golf Club. The day kicked off with a stretch and warm-up led by LPGA Tour Professional and PXG Ambassador Christina Kim. Based on employees' desires and skill levels, PXG offered different forums for participating in this celebratory day. Women who wanted to play on the course were able to join in a 9-hole shotgun scramble, while a clinic circuit allowed beginners to work on their form and get a better understanding of the game. Post golf, Renee Parsons welcomed guests for a luncheon at Scottsdale National's Mustang Grill, overlooking the 18th hole of The Other Course. Each of the activities not only promoted participation in golf but also afforded PXG employees the opportunity to create personal connections with team members from various departments and offices.

"Last year I played my first round of golf at Scottsdale National Golf Club during PXG's 2nd Annual Women's Day to Play. At that time I was pregnant – a week out from giving birth," shared Rachel Beach, PXG Resale Associate. "PXG was super supportive in helping me be a first time mom, spending time with my son while continuing my career and gaining exposure to the game of golf."

The Scottsdale-based event concluded with a lively panel discussion featuring Renee Parsons, Becky Robinson, Comedian, Writer, and Entrepreneur, and Christina Kim, LPGA Tour Professional. The panel was moderated by MyGolfSpy editor, Bennett Green. The group discussed golf as a metaphor for life and business, breaking down gender barriers, imposter syndrome, and nurturing a supportive and diverse golfing community. The women shared their experiences, challenges, and successes, inspiring others and fostering genuine connections. The panel was filmed to ensure women from around the globe who are part of the PXG team have the opportunity to benefit from the discussion.

WATCH the poignant, albeit side-splittingly funny and occasionally explicit panel now.

The United Kingdom-based team spent the afternoon at an indoor golf facility in Soho, London. The women enjoyed lessons provided by PXG Master Fitter Jack Venn, followed by friendly games and competition. They also shared a meal and small group conversation about working in golf and participating in the sport facilitated by PXG Senior International Human Resources Manager Lauren Wilson.

Wilson also helped arrange for the Japan-based team to have a unique on course experience. As a highly skilled and competitive group of players, the women visited Sunhills Country Club to play 18-holes.

Kaori Hagihara, Human Resources Manager for PXG Japan stated, "I felt privileged that PXG gave us this opportunity. It was fun and gave us a good chance to communicate, which is sometimes difficult to do in daily work. This opportunity also gave our ladies further motivation to continue to enjoy golf."

Extending the company's efforts beyond its team, PXG has released a special discount for women at its local retail and fitting studios and through its field teams. For June, all golf club fittings for women are 90% off using the offer code, "WOMENS90".

For golfers whose golf clubs are dialed in but who are looking to see their game improved, PXG recently release PXG Pro Tips with Rob Riggle: LPGA Edition. It is a must watch for everyone (even though it is Women's Golf Month). Click here to watch the series.
