Michael A. DeMayo Recognized as a 2023 Leader in Law

CHARLOTTE, N.C. , June 08 /Businesswire/ - DeMayo Law Offices, LLP is pleased to share that Michael A. DeMayo, CEO, Founder, and Managing Partner, has been recognized as a 2023 Leader in Law by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly. This prestigious award cited DeMayo’s outstanding contributions to the legal profession and his unwavering dedication to serving people across North Carolina and beyond.

With more than three decades of legal expertise, Michael A. DeMayo has successfully pursued justice and secured fair compensation for clients, earning him a reputation as a tireless advocate in the realm of personal injury.

The firm made headlines this year with a $12 million settlement involving a building materials store in Charlotte, in which 28 stacked marble slabs weighing 1,000 pounds each fell on a victim who died on the scene 15 minutes later. More recently, DeMayo formed DeMayo Law Group, PLLC to exclusively handle Camp LeJeune claims nationwide and offer their services as North Carolina co-counsel for national firms.

In addition to his remarkable legal accomplishments, DeMayo has consistently demonstrated leadership within the Charlotte community. For 21 years, DeMayo has provided high school seniors the opportunity to earn the Michael A. DeMayo Arrive Alive Scholarship Award, which recognizes students for their exceptional academic achievements and commitment to solving the issue of drunk and distracted driving. The program has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships. Committed to firm-wide volunteerism, he has cultivated lasting relationships with local nonprofits like Second Harvest, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, and the Angel Tree Toy Drive that has benefited Thompson Child & Family Focus and The Salvation Army in Charlotte, Catawba County Public Health in Hickory, Boys & Girls Clubs in Lumberton, and the Monroe Housing Authority in Monroe.

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized as a Leader in Law by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly,” said Michael A. DeMayo. “I am humbled and grateful for this acknowledgment of my dedication to the legal profession and the community. This recognition would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my talented team at DeMayo Law Offices, who share my passion for justice and making a difference in our clients’ lives.”
