Stuart, a leader in the waste and recycling industry, most recently served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Republic Services Inc. (NYSE: RSG). In that role, Stuart spearheaded the company’s adoption, implementation, and scaling of new technologies while overseeing field operations, integrations, digital operations strategy and execution, and more. Over nearly 18 years at Republic, he rose from area president, region vice president, and vice president roles across the country to executive vice president of operations, culminating in executive vice president and COO in 2019. Prior to Republic, Stuart spent approximately 11 years at Waste Management, Inc. (NYSE: WM).

“We’re delighted to welcome Tim to our board of directors,” said Matanya Horowitz, AMP founder and CEO. “His depth and breadth of experience, gained over nearly three decades with the world’s largest waste firms, combined with his understanding of the role advanced technology will play as the industry evolves, make Tim a true asset to company leadership. I look forward to working with him as we accelerate our efforts to transform waste and recycling with AI-powered sortation.”

Stuart earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in business administration from Florida Gulf Coast University. He previously served as an independent director for Romeo Power, an energy technology leader delivering advanced electrification solutions for complex commercial vehicle applications, until its acquisition by Nikola Corporation (NASDAQ: NKLA) in 2022.
