OKLAHOMA CITY , April 23 /Businesswire/ - MidFirst Bank, through its 1st Century Bank Division, announces a donation of $250,000 to Saint John’s Health Center in support of the Center’s ongoing mission to provide state-of-the-art healthcare services to the community. The proceeds from this contribution will further the Center’s commitment to delivering compassionate care to those in need through bolstering its capital, equipment and programmatic needs as well as its community outreach initiatives. The donation was commemorated at Saint John’s Health Center with the presentation of a plaque in the Margie Peterson Breast Cancer Center, symbolizing the enduring partnership between 1st Century Bank and Saint John’s Health Center in the pursuit of healthcare excellence and community well-being.

“We proudly support Saint John’s Health Center, recognizing their ongoing commitment to advancing their mission through compassionate care and pioneering research,” said Jeff Records, Chairman and CEO of MidFirst Bank.

“As Saint John’s Health Center Foundation celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year, we reflect on the tremendous community support that has made it possible for our hospital to be a leader in cutting-edge medicine and research. Generous gifts like this one from 1st Century Bank, ensure that Saint John’s continues to lead the way, not only in the most advanced techniques, but in highly personalized and compassionate patient care. We are truly grateful for their support.” Sheryl A. Bourgeois, PhD - President & CEO, Saint John’s Health Center Foundation.

John M. Robertson, MD - Medical Director, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery also stated, “Today, for a hospital to remain at the forefront of medicine, recruit star physicians, develop new treatments, engage in innovative research and meet the demands of ever-increasing capital needs, we can no longer rely solely on dollars from operations. Hospitals are becoming ever more dependent on philanthropy. It is friends like 1st Century Bank that enable Saint John’s to remain a premier local and national destination of choice for excellent and compassionate medical care.”
