Affinity Esports Launches Second Connecticut Studio in Milford Ahead of Seven Weeks of Youth Summer Camps

MILFORD, Conn. , May 29 /Businesswire/ - Affinity Esports, a leader in promoting healthier gaming experiences, is excited to announce the opening of its second Connecticut studio in Milford this July. The new location will offer a range of engaging activities, including Summer Camps, Educational Classes, Club Teams, Game Nights, and Birthday Party options. Summer Camps will anchor the season, with registrations now open through their website and the Milford Recreation Website.

Located strategically to complement their existing Newtown studio, the Milford Studio represents Affinity Esports’ continued commitment to expanding its reach and impact within the state. “The opening of our Milford studio marks a significant step in our mission to foster a safe, inclusive gaming environment that promotes socialization and education,” said Kate Petersen, Director of Operations at Affinity Esports.

The Milford community has shown strong support for this new venture. Michael Dooling, Recreational Supervisor for the City of Milford, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “Affinity Esports brings a unique blend of technology and teamwork to our community. Their focus on creating safe, educational spaces for gaming aligns perfectly with our goals for local youth and adult recreational activities.”

Julie Nash, the Director of Community and Economic Development, also commented on the new studio’s potential impact: “Affinity Esports' new facility in Milford is a testament to the growing economic diversity in our community. Their innovative approach to gaming not only creates new opportunities but also integrates well with our vision of building community through new technologies and social engagement."

The new studio will be fully operational in July, offering seven weeks of Summer Camps from July 1st to August 16th, alongside Friday and Saturday game nights, and birthday celebrations. Their programs are designed to promote critical life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem solving, while also introducing participants to potential career paths within the esports industry. This fall they will extend programming to include After-School Classes, Competitive Club Teams, Members’ Clubs, and Open Studio hours.
