Program Keeps At-Risk Youth Off Streets

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Loans4Love has announced a strategic partnership with After-School All-Stars, one of the country's most successful after-school programs designed to help at-risk youth avoid a conflicted life on the street, while helping them succeed at home, in school and in the community. The partnership is focused on a unique concept through the Loans4Love program, where the art of lending meets the heart of giving.

Loans4Love joins other notable After-School All-Stars partners including Touchdown vs. Shutdown and Hoop Heroes, innovative efforts through which NFL and NBA players pledge to make donations to After-School All-Stars based on their performance stats.

Every day in the United States as many as 15 million children leave school with no place to go, an astounding statistic. And many of these at-risk youth are involved in crimes, join gangs or experiment with drugs, alcohol or sex. In fact, unsupervised eighth-graders are three times more likely to smoke, drink or abuse drugs.

"There is a real crisis in the life-changing challenges faced by too many of the young people in this country. And After-School All-Stars is one of the most prominent leading lights in creating a solution," said Loans4Love Founder and CEO David Ludington. "We at Loans4Love are very proud and excited to be partnering with them to help make a brighter future for our youth."

When a prospective homeowner chooses to purchase a new home or refinance with Loans4Love, 25% of the home loan origination fee is donated to a cause that is near and dear to the borrower's heart, such as After-School All-Stars. (All organizations must be a registered 501(c) in compliance with state and federal laws.)

After-School All-Stars engages some 80,000 underserved children annually in 13 cities across the country with programs designed to improve the participants' lives and prepare them for a productive and satisfying life in the 21st century by incorporating academic support, enrichment, and health and physical fitness. They also promote positive relationships among children and adults, create an engaging environment for children to interact with each other, and provide opportunities for children to make decisions and learn leadership skills.

After-School All-Stars was founded by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who also serves as Honorary Co-chair with California First Lady Maria Shriver. Celebrity ambassadors include Kobe Bryant as well as hip-hop artists Common and Fabolous.

Loans4Love and its consortium of national- and state-chartered FDIC banks are at the forefront of this highly innovative approach to generating support for non-profit organizations while offering outstanding loan solutions in the process. Loans4Love also provides distinct advantages such as no commissioned loan officers, direct lending with loan solutions for almost every situation, excellent customer service, and the most competitive cost/rates available on the market.
