Tribal Economic Development Bonds to be Awarded to More than 50 Tribes Nationally

 U.S. TREASURY AND GOVERNOR RICHARDSON TO ANNOUNCE $1 BILLION IN RECOVERY ACT FUNDS FOR TRIBAL COMMUNITIES

 

WASHINGTON – As part of an effort to highlight the local impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act), Treasury Deputy Secretary Neal Wolin will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico and join Governor Bill Richardson to discuss how tribes in New Mexico and throughout the country will use $1billion in Tribal Economic Development Bonds to create jobs and complete economic development projects.
