Urban League CEO To Deliver MLK Day Address


NEW YORK  -- Marc Morial, President of the National Urban League, will deliver the Keynote Address at the U.S. Department of Justice Martin Luther King, Jr., Day celebration on Tuesday, January 11 .

“We honor the life and legacy of Dr. King by continuing his mission of peace, justice and equality,” Morial said. “I’m very proud to celebrate this day with the public servants charged with enforcing those principles."

The ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Robert F. Kennedy Main Justice Building. Other speakers include U.S. Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. and Thomas E. Perez, head of the Department’s Civil Rights Division.
